Maintenance Tech

The Maintenance Tech is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on Boerboom Ag facilities and equipment. The primary focus of this role will be livestock facilities, but it may also include feed mill maintenance and general shop work, all of which are necessary for the company's daily operations. The Maintenance Tech is also responsible for assisting with seasonal crop and field work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on company facilities and equipment
  • Make repairs on an as-needed basis
  • Obtain parts necessary for repair work
  • Travel to various locations as repair work requires
  • Prioritize maintenance work and projects as needed
  • Keep accurate records and track routine maintenance
  • Keep the truck wash, shops, and work areas clean and orderly
  • Work independently and make informed decisions
  • Report to management as needed
  • Learn the manure application process and assist with field work and manure application seasonally
  • Follow all biosecurity standards and standard operating procedures set in place
  • Follow all company safety policies
  • Other duties as requested by management

Job Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years related work experience
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs. and climb ladders

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time, 40+ hours per week. Overtime may be available
  • Regular hours will vary from 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM Mon-Fri
  • Hours will vary depending on the season and maintenance requirements
  • Occasional weekend work will be required
Starting pay will be $20 to $32 per hour based on experience plus full benefits.
