Erin Makela will present, “Hidden Histories of the American Revolution” at the Lyon County Museum, 301 West Lyon Street, Marshall on Tuesday, May 19 at 6:30 PM. About the Program: Ever wonder what gets left out of the history books? Want to know more about the American Revolution as America celebrates her 250th? Come and learn about some of the Hidden Histories of the American Revolution with local author, Erin Makela, as she explores some of the events and people- like Benedict Arnold and the Christmas Riot at Fort Ticonderoga-that she used for her novels. Erin Makela is an author and educator based in Worthington, MN. Erin published her first novel, Worthy of Trust, last year, and its sequel, Enterprising and Dangerous will be published this spring, and both follow the journey of Whitley Endicott through the American Revolution. Whether she is plotting her next novel or her next travel adventure, Erin is sure to have a good book and mug of tea close by. The program is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Programs at the Lyon County Museum are sponsored by members. For more information, contact the Lyon County Museum at 507-537-6580 or director@lyoncomuseum.org
