Farmer's Cooperative Elevator is looking to fill a Grain Elevator Location Manager Role. This position will be located in one of our seven facilities depending on location and experience of candidate.
The elevator manager is responsible for safe and efficient operation of the elevator including Grain Handling, Pricing, Safety & Maintenance, Supervision and Service.
- Grain Handling
- Handle incoming, binned, and outgoing grain
- Maintain grain quality
- Blend grains
- Provide grain drying services
- Monthly inventory
- Load train cars when needed depending on location
- Pricing
- Sample and place an inspection grade on all incoming and outgoing grain shipments as a basis for accurate pricing
- Report grades to office so that accurate service charges may be calculated
- Report quality by grade and quantity of grain going into storage to the office
- Safety & Maintenance
- Observe OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations
- Maintain clean facilities
- Maintain equipment and facilities regularly
- Maintain housekeeping and sanitation standards
- Supervision
- Establish and communicate department goals and results to employees
- Staff department and delegate work load to meet market requirements
- Actively support employee growth
- Service
- Greet customers promptly and courteously with a smile
- Assist customer with unloading and loading
- Promptly and courteously answer the phone
- Work with customers to resolve problems and report complaints to your supervisor
Pay: From $70,000-$100,000 per year depending on location and experience.
