POSITION OVERVIEW
 
The Human Resources (HR) Director is responsible for the strategic leadership and management of all HR functions, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and culture. This role is focused on recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent, while overseeing the execution of HR policies, procedures, and programs that support organizational growth. The HR Director will also work closely with senior leadership to drive initiatives that foster a positive workplace culture, enhance employee engagement, and ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  1. Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and retention of employee workforce (recruitment, training, compensation, performance, communication, change management, accountability, evaluation, staffing, etc.).
  2. Develop and manage all HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures, ensuring that all procedures comply with federal and state payroll and labor regulations and best practices
  3. Oversee the successful continuation of The RED ZONE, Runnings’ Learning Management System.
  4. Develop and execute measurable talent management strategies, including performance evaluations, promotions, and succession planning.
  5. Ensure legal compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, standards and guidelines.
  6. Represent the company in complaints, lawsuits, and other employee relation activities as needed.
  7. Support managers in building teams and driving performance through recruiting assistance, training, development, and coaching.
  8. Actively participate in the analysis, review and renewal of the company’s employee benefit plans.
  9. Create and maintain job descriptions that are compliant with state and federal FLSA and ADA requirements.
  10. Oversee the administration of workers compensation programs.
  11. Work closely with Operations, Distribution, and Retail Support Managers to ensure equitable application of company policy and procedures for employees.
  12. Participate in executive, management and company meetings.
  13. Develop and manage HR staff, along with 3rd party consultants such as attorneys, trainers, and benefits administrators.
  14. Identify additional technology needs related to workforce management, payroll, and other HR functions to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  15. Develop and monitor annual budget that includes HR benefits, employee recognition, community giving and administration.
  16. Collaborate with management in controlling company labor costs.
  17. Conduct a continuing study of the effectiveness of all HR policies, programs, and practices and keep management informed of new developments.

  7. Knowledge of employment law and regulations.
  8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, along with strong leadership and conflict resolution experience.
  9. Proven leadership and organizational ability.
  10. Knowledge of compliance/safety/LP best practices.
 
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
 Five years of experience in Human Resource management.
Bachelor’s Degree and equivalent of ten years related experience.
Master’s Degree, with PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
Strategic talent management experience highly preferred.
