Customer Service Representative / Billing Clerk

Marshall Municipal Utilities, located in Marshall, Minnesota is accepting applications for a full-time Customer Service Representative/Billing Clerk (CSR) position.  Major responsibilities include but are not limited to performing a variety of customer service duties for the accurate management of utility accounts and assisting with regular monthly utility billing processes. In addition, the CSR will receive, process and balance payments, assist and respond to customers’ questions or requests, answer telephone inquiries, prepare, update and maintain computerized customer files. 
 
Applicants are required to have a High School Diploma or equivalent. In addition, applicants must have three years of customer service responsibility in an office setting, proven ability to effectively deal with people under a variety of circumstances, working knowledge of computers and billing systems and schedules; working knowledge of Microsoft, Outlook, Excel and Word software programs, the ability to compose correspondences and use basic information in developing reports, and the ability to express oneself orally and in writing.  In addition, three years of billing experience is preferred. 
 
This position is an onsite, in person office position with a working schedule of Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 pm.

Compensation for this position ranges from $55,604 to $69,505 commensurate with experience and qualifications. MMU also offers an excellent benefits package.
