Noon Year’s Eve Celebration
Description
Save the date for the annual Noon Year’s Eve celebration at the Marshall-Lyon County Library! Join us on December 31st from 10am to 5pm for games, crafts, snacks, and fun for all ages!
Morning activities
- LEGO challenge by the Fireplace
Afternoon activities
- Tabletop Role Playing Game in the Minnesota Room
- Puzzles and building activities by the Fireplace
All Day activities
- Games, arts & crafts, snacks in the Community Room
- Mini Golf, Games, Photo booth, origami, Resolution-making table, Scavenger Hunt in the main Library
- The Scavenger Hunt begins in the Children’s Library but will explore the whole library. This activity will be difficult for younger kids to do on their own; if you have younger kids, try it as a family!
Children’s Library activities
- All Day – Crown crafting project
- Movies:
- 10:15am – Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who! (2008) – 86 minutes – Rated G
- Noon – Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax (2012) – 94 minutes – Rated PG
- 2pm – The Grinch (2018) – 90 minutes – Rated PG
- Countdowns (on the stage)
- 11:50 – Countdown to noon!
- 1:50 – Countdown to 2 pm!
- 3:50 – Countdown to 4 pm!
Please note that the Balaton and Cottonwood Libraries will be closed New Year’s Eve. Marshall Library will close at 6 pm after festivities have concluded.
