SUMMARY OF POSITION
This position is responsible for performing a variety of clerical and finance duties for the Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce (MACC). This position will help in running the MACC efficiently. This position serves as one of the initial points of contact with the business owners and the general public.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a first point of contact: direct phone calls, take walk-in inquiries from MACC visitors, field complaints, provide courteous, professional, and responsive assistance, and answer frequently asked questions.
- Manage financial transactions; profit-and-loss statement and balance sheet; manage payroll; reconcile bank statements; invoice clients; make federal and state tax deposits; complete annual tax forms, such as W-2s and 1099s.
- Perform a variety of administrative support duties in support of MACC operations: filing, copying, completing information requests, create correspondence, forms, memorandums, reports, surveys, and other written materials.
- Receive and process incoming mail; review and evaluate to identify those items requiring priority attention; prepare and process outgoing mail; assist with mailings; prepare mailing lists and labels.
- Maintain an accurate and organized document management system for MACC records and files.
- Arrange, coordinate, schedule and assist with meetings and meeting facilities; prepare rooms; send notices and announcements as assigned; and arrange or assist with refreshments.
- Prepare and order office supplies.
- Perform errands that assist daily functions: post office, bank, supplies, etc.
- Assist the MACC President with project management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Attendance at MACC events outside of normal work hours may be required of this position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Finance or similar field.
- Two (2) years of experience in a position performing administrative, finance, or related duties.
OR equivalent combination of education and experiences to appropriately perform the role. - Proficient in using QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint applications.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Valid MN Class D Drivers License.SUPERVISION EXERCISED
No direct or indirect reports.

Frequent contact with employees, business owners, and the general public.
