FREE to all participants. Boys and Girls ages 7-14. All participants will receive a FREE beverage and snack and the competition is FREE.

Description
Pitch, Hit & Run, official skills competition of Major League Baseball, is designed to provide youngsters with an opportunity to compete in a FREE competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball skills. Competitors are divided into four age divisions open to boys and girls: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12 & 13/14. Competitors have the chance to advance through four levels of competition, including Team Championships at Major League ball parks, and the National Finals held at the 2017 MLB All Star Game.
Pitch, Hit, and Run Local Competition (Sponsored by Scotts Lawn Care, MCS, Marshall Area Kiwanis Club, M.A.Y.B.A. and Marshall Tiger Baseball) will take place at Independence Park Field on Saturday, May 13th, 2017. Compete and go, or stay to watch others compete!
Results: Results will be posted to the Marshall Area Kiwanis Facebook page (www.facebook.com/marshallareakiwanis) after results are tallied. Special recognition will occur for the winners of each age division at a later date/time. The individual Pitching, Hitting and Running Champions, along with the All-Around Champion in each age group at the Local Competition will be awarded and advance to the Sectional Level of Competition. All participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate and parents/guardians must be present to fill out a registration/waiver form prior to the start of the competition. For questions concerning the competition, please contact Marshall Community Services at 507-537-6767.
(Baseball equipment is supplied; participants may bring their own bat and wear spikes if they choose)
