The Member Appreciation Night & Annual Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 24. Please join us for refreshments, tour of the museum, meeting, and guest speaker, Bill Palmer. This evening is for all Lyon County Historical Society members and is open to all guests. You don't have to be a member to attend. If you are interested in seeing the museum, finding out more information on what we do, and listening to our guest speaker, join us for the evening.

6:30-7:00PM Annual Meeting with Opening Remarks, Financial Report, and Voting. The LCHS Board of Directors has an open position to fill. District 1, which includes Fairview Township and Ward 1 in Marshall, is open.
7:00-7:45PM Guest Speaker, Bill Palmer, will present on the history of the Veterans Conservation Corps Company that built Camden State Park during the Great Depression. Bill is a native of Marshall. He holds a history degree from St. John’s University and law degrees from the University of Minnesota and the Judge Advocate General’s School of the Army. He is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel and teaches History and Geography at Lakeview High School in Cottonwood.
