Lyon County is hiring a full-time Deputy Sheriff.  Applicants must have at a minimum an associate degree in law enforcement; be POST licensed, or eligible to be licensed at the time of appointment; and possess a valid MN driver’s license. Experience is preferred but not required. Successful applicants must also pass a pre-employment background investigation and criminal history check as well as successful completion of a pre-employment physical including a drug and alcohol screening test prior to appointment. 

• Pay range is $30.52 to $42.73 depending on experience, with two wage increases in the first year.
• Rotating schedule of days, nights, weekends and holidays with 4 day weekends, every other week. 
• Deputies use load bearing ballistic vest carriers.
