Lyon County is hiring a full time Landfill Supervisor. Position purpose is to supervise the operation of the Lyon County landfill. Under the general supervision of the Environmental Administrator, the Landfill Supervisor is responsible for supervising staff, landfill site operation to include waste fill planning and implementation, operating specialized equipment, preventative maintenance and repairs, customer service and performing additional tasks as assigned. Schedule is M-F, 6:30 am – 3:00 pm and rotating Saturdays from 6:30 am – 12:30 pm. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma with 5 years’ experience in equipment operation or construction, or a vocational/technical diploma in Heavy Equipment Operation, Construction, or related field. Must possess a Class "A" CDL upon hire and obtain Type II Waste Disposal License. Position salary range: $70,457.52 – $98,727.89 and offers a full benefit package.
