Water Plant Tour
Join Young Professionals for a behind-the-scenes tour of Marshall Municipal Utilities’ Water Treatment Plant! Get an inside look at how Marshall’s water is treated, produced, and delivered to the community while learning about the processes, equipment, and daily operations that help keep our water supply safe and reliable.
Led by MMU’s water operations team, Steve Lovre and Jeff Larson, this tour will offer a unique opportunity to learn more about an essential community service, explore the facility, and gain a better understanding of the work that goes into providing clean, reliable water to Marshall.
We hope you’ll join us for this educational and engaging look at one of our community’s important utilities!
Steve Lovre
Steve Lovre is MMU’s Lead Water Production Operator, where he is responsible for overseeing the water plant and wells that help provide safe and reliable water to the Marshall community. Steve holds a Class A Water Supply System Operator Certificate, reflecting his training and expertise in water system operations. Before joining MMU 4.5 years ago, Steve spent 17 years working for Lincoln Pipestone Rural Water, gaining extensive experience in water production and utility operations. His background and knowledge play an important role in maintaining the quality and reliability of Marshall’s water supply.
Jeff Larson
Jeff Larson is MMU’s Water Operations Manager, overseeing water operations and helping ensure the community’s water system continues to run safely and efficiently. He holds a Class A Water Supply System Operator Certificate and brings decades of experience in the water utility industry. Before joining MMU 19 years ago, Jeff spent 9 years working for the City of Waseca Water Utility. His experience and leadership contribute to the ongoing operation, maintenance, and reliability of Marshall’s water system.
About Young Professionals
At Marshall Area Young Professionals, our purpose is to engage community members with opportunities to network at various venues within the area, provide opportunities for members to give back tot he community, and to create learning and development opportunities for future leaders! The Marshall Area Young Professionals group meets on the third Tuesday of every month at rotating locations.
