Attention parents and families! Discover career planning options for your transition-age youth with disabilities (age 14-24) and where to find help to support them on their path to employment. Attendees will learn about the importance of work and career development and explore employment services and supports, including the Minnesota CareerForce Career Pathways programs. They will also walk away with tips to help them begin their own career path! Presenters: Sue Fager, Parent Trainer & Advocate Sue Fager leads workshops and assists families of children with disabilities as they navigate special education and other systems. Her lived experience with her own sibling has fueled her passion about inclusion, person-centered thinking, and supported decision-making. Judy Moses, Parent Trainer & Advocate Judy Moses provides individual support to parents of children with disabilities, develops educational resources, and leads workshops. Her work is deeply influenced by her own lived experience with a mental health disability and her journey as a parent to two children who passed away due to health-related conditions.
