Dr. Anton Treuer will visit the Marshall Library at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, February 11th.
Dr. Treuer will discuss his newest book, the Young Adult novel Where Wolves Don’t Die, as well as his work preserving the Ojibwe language and encouraging cross-cultural understanding. Anton Treuer (pronounced troy-er) is Professor of Ojibwe at Bemidji State University and author of many books. The most well-known is Everything You Wanted to Know About Indians But Were Afraid to Ask, which has also been reissued in an edition for youth. Learn more at antontreuer.com.
This event is held in cooperation with SWMN Adult Basic Education (ABE), with the assistance of Visit Marshall, the City of Marshall, Southwest Minnesota State University, and the Southwest Initiative Foundation. Dr. Treuer will be the keynote speaker at the “It Begins With Us” conference on Feb. 10 & 11, 2025. His talk will be on Feb. 11.
