The National Sales Manager is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership in all areas of regional sales.  He or she coordinates and facilitates activities relating to sales in all areas of Jonti-Craft products within southeastern United States.  This includes defining and analyzing current and emerging markets, setting sales goals, generating and following up on existing accounts and working on prospective sales.  It also includes providing education for customers and coordinating multiple sales functions relating to but not limited to all North American or territorial sales.  This is a highly visible and complex role requiring strong leadership, attention to detail and quality.  The position requires the ability to work effectively within a highly technical, diverse and competitive marketplace.  Up to 40% travel required. Balance of work will take place in our corporate offices in Wabasso, Minnesota. 
Essential Functions

  1. Analyzes and drives strategy development for our customers and sales market.
  2. Works with the Director of Sales and Business Development to create plans to implement key initiatives designed to increase profitable and positive sales.
  3. Coordinates and works with the Director of Sales and Business Development to develop and set performance goals and outlines the plan to achieve these goals.
  4. Effectively manages all accounts assigned to them.
  5. Researches, targets and seeks out new sales opportunities within southeastern United States.
  6. Works with the Director of Sales and Business Development to design internal processes to make our selling approach more effective and most efficient.
  7. Investigates, justifies, and secures all new and existing sales accounts for Jonti-Craft.
  8. Works with marketing department to develop customer sales presentations and materials used to educate our customers in all areas of the Jonti-Craft product line.
  9. Works with the Director of Sales and Business Development to identify, coordinate and attend trade shows that are imperative to the success of Jonti-Craft sales.
  10. Ensures positive, helpful and timely relations with all customers.
  11. Works closely with Customer Relations and the sales chain to communicate forecast changes and developments relating to sales.
  12. Identifies critical business opportunities, risks, issues and trends.
  13. Draws conclusions, presents findings and makes recommendations to the Director of Sales and Business Development regarding new business opportunities, efficiencies, and sales goals.
  14. Consults with leadership team to foster and develop any improvement opportunities.

Qualifications
  • Four year Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3 years previous sales experience required with out-of-state travel preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%.  Position requires flexible hours.
  • Excellent project and sales management skills required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Requires strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task and drive processes with numerous interdependencies.
  • Excellent knowledge of the full suite of Microsoft products such as but not limited to; Outlook express, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
