DESCRIPTION:As a leader in our region's transportation industry\, you are invited to a roundtable discussion on how best to address the workforce development needs in the Transportation Industry for southwest Minnesota. During the initial roundtable on December 11th\, 2018 at the Merit Center\, employers present expressed an interest in engaging youth and young adults in learning more about careers within the Transportation Industry. In response to this employer interest\, we are having a follow-up roundtable meeting. This roundtable is to discuss how a private/public partnership might organize a Transportation Industry Career Exploration/Hiring Event. This is a preliminary discussion and employer feedback is needed to see if the event would be beneficial to employers and if so\, how best to organize it. This Roundtable Discussion is being hosted on behalf of the Southwest Minnesota Workforce Development Board
