DESCRIPTION:Lunch and Learn: Self Defense!\n\nJanuary 11th\, 12-1pm\n\n\n\nJoin us for the January Lunch and Learn hosted by the Marshall Area Chamber\n\n\n\nSergeant Hoekstra will demonstrate some simple self-defense techniques that will assist individuals in preventing an attack\, and allow them the ability to disengage and escape the area.\n\nSergean Hoekstra will also include technique demonstrations for those who wish to practice on each other. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nSeargeant Matthew Hoekstra was born and raised in the Marshall/Lynd \n\nHe has a Law Enforcement AAS Degree from Alexandria Tech -  2003.\n\n19 years in Law Enforcement. 14 years with Goodhue County Sheriff's Office and last 5 years with Lyon County Sheriff's Office.\n\n10 years as Emergency Response Team (ERT - SWAT) operator and Team Leader for Goodhue/Wabasha  ERT Team\n\n8 years as a Goodhue County K9 Handler\n\nSTORM (Strategy & Tactics on Redirecting Movement for the purpose of lawful control & effective self-defense) Certified Foundation Instructor Trainer.  \n\n \n\n\n\nThis event will be held at the Law Enforcement Center\n\nWe hope to see you there!\n\n  (24 hour notice of cancellation is required to receive a refund on this event)\n\n\nThank you to our 2022-2023 Lunch & Learn Sponsor \n\nTitan Machinery & Southwest Initiative Foundation
