DESCRIPTION:On behalf of the SMSU Political Science Student Association and the Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce\, we invite you to our upcoming candidates forum.  Here are the details:\n\n\n\nMonday\, October 17\, 2016\n\nUpper Ballroom\, SMSU Conference Center\n\n\n\n6:30 PM            Meet the candidates reception   \n\n                          Refreshments hosted by the SMSU Faculty Association. \n\n\n\n7:00-8:55 PM        Candidate panels         Moderator\n\n            7:00-7:25           SD 16    )      Christopher Ross\n\n            7:30-7:55           HD 16A  )    President\, Political Science Association\n\n            8:00-8:25           SD 22    )       Brad Gruhot\n\n            8:30-8:55          HD 22A   )  Director\, Chamber of Commerce\n\n\n\nNOTE:   If only one candidate for a given race is present\, that candidate will be given 15 minutes for questions and a closing statement.  \n\n\n\nPanel Format:  \n\n1.      Introduction by moderator.  \n\n2.      Questions to the candidates\, which will be posed by a panel of local news media.  The Marshall Independent\, Minneota Mascot\, Tracy Headlight-Herald and KMHL Radio have been invited to participate.  The panelists will prepare their own questions\, and then work them in with questions submitted by the audience.  Students from the Political Science Association will distribute and gather cards for this purpose.\n\n3.      Closing statements of up to two minutes apiece.\n\n\n\nOrder of speaking will be determined by draw\, then rotated.\n\n\n\nIt is expected that the program will be broadcast by KMHL AM 1400 (either live or on tape delay) and KSSU-TV.  KSSU broadcasts at SMSU campus and in Marshall via two community access channels.
