SUMMARY:Celebrate Minnesota Museums Month with the Lyon County Museum!
DESCRIPTION:In 2012\, May was declared Minnesota Museums Month\, a statewide celebration of events and exhibits at local museums.  The program started as a collaboration among museums of all types-historical\, art\, science\, military\, zoos\, arboretums\, and more to raise awareness of the importance of museums across the state in contributing to and sustaining community.\n\nThe Lyon County Historical Society and Museum is planning events for the month of May to celebrate Minnesota Museums Month.\n\nOn May 1st\, we are kicking off the event by having a May Day gift basket drawing at the Lyon County Museum.  The musuem will be open from 10:00-5:00 for visitors to enter their name into a drawing.
