Description
Since 1988, October has been proclaimed as National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. October 15 was selected as the remembrance memorial date by Robyn Bear, the founder of the movement that let to President Reagan's proclamation for this awareness month. Although many believe the number is much higher, the recognized statistic is 1 in every 4 pregnancies ends in loss. On October 15, we remember all the babies gone too soon at the International Wave of Light Ceremony from 7-8pm at the SMSU Outdoor Classroom in the Environmental Learning Area.
